A small and welcoming farmhouse completely renovated that retains its original sprit and character.
A true nest that will welcome you in every season. It’s few-minute-distant from the centre of
Sorrento but far from the chaos and surrounded by greenery. Perfect for a couple who want to enjoy
the Amalfi coast as true residents and not just tourists. A house that will tell you about its history
and the love of the family who lived there. If you want to discover the history of the barn owl, all you
have to do is to come and visit us!
The space

The house is made up of 2 large rooms, a bathroom and a small working space.
As it typically happens in old farmhouses, the entrance leads directly into the kitchen, a bright and
convivial space with a beautiful antique table in the middle of the room. A fully equipped kitchen
leans against one of the room’s walls. On the opposite side there is a sofa, which can provide a third
bed place, if necessary.
A large 2-door door opens onto the heart of the house. A large space with a high ceiling with
exposed wooden beams and a window with a breathtaking view. In one corner a small living room
perfect for reading a book, another corner hosts the original double bed of a round shape. In front of
the bed the smart TV. In the last corner a large square table of antique wood. A built-in wardrobe
and modern designer lamps complete the living room in a mix of ancient and modern style that will
win you over. A small but perfectly equipped bathroom.
Accessibility
The house is accessible through a stair of 11 steps.
The barn owl's nest is the farmhouse of a large property that also includes a villa from the early
1900s. Some areas, such as the driveway, are shared. The patio in front of the house is for exclusive
use as is the garden.
There is a parking area right next to the house only for small cars. Alternatively, we have an
agreement with the guarded parking lot right in front of the entrance to the driveway at a cost of 10
euros per night. This parking facility is to be booked in advance and paid on site. In the absence of a
pre booking, we cannot guarantee parking.
Other things to keep in mind
The house is in the hilly part of Sorrento. The city centre can be reached on foot through a shortcut
in about 15/20 minutes. The return to the home is uphill, not suitable for people with mobility
problems.
